Inter-LGBT

An event ofInter-LGBT

The Interassociative lesbienne, gaie, bi et trans (Inter-LGBT) is the successor to Lesbian & Gay Pride, which organized France's first LGBTI+ protest march in 1977. For 26 years now, it has been part of a movement that brings the issue of sexual orientation and gender identity into the public arena through festive protests, notably by organizing the Paris Pride March.
Throughout the year, INTER:
  • Develops and promotes political advocacy with its member associations,
  • Raises awareness and fights against discrimination by representing the associations before institutions such as the National Consultative Commission on Human Rights (CNCDH) and the Committee of Understanding of the Defender of Rights,
  • Represents French associations in international networks.
In addition, each year, INTER organizes:
  • Le Printemps des Assoces, the leading association fair in Île-de-France, which brings together nearly 90 organizations and attracts more than 10,000 visitors each year
  • The Pride March and the March Podium, which brought together 500,000 people last year.
  • And for the past year: Pride Week, seven days of protest, sporting, festive, commemorative, and cultural events in the week leading up to the March.
